Startmotor van 2,2 KW voor de M57 dieselmotor. BMW nummer 12412344240, 12412179676 of 12412247492. Komt goed werkend uit mijn E38 730D en heeft pas 3 maanden ervaring wat te zien is op de foto’s. Merk is Magneti Marelli.
Ook bekend onder de nummers: 63222005 en 63222005.

12 41 020Removing and installing/replacing starter (M57)

Note:All illustrations feature the E39 car. The procedure for the E38 car is identical except for the first illustration.

Read fault memory. Switch off ignition.

Instructions for disconnecting and connecting battery,

refer to General Information MG12.

Disconnect and cover battery negative lead.

Remove underbody paneling at front.

Release retaining clips (1).

Caution!

The air duct can brake at the firewall if not carefully removed and installed.

Carefully turn air duct (2) counterclockwise until it is no longer locked in firewall.

Pull air duct forwards and remove towards top.
Remove protective cap (1).
Release screw (1).

Caution!

Do not remove oil measuring tube. Engine oil emerges.

Slacken nut (2) on battery positive connection point.

Tightening torque,

refer to 12 51 3AZ.
Unscrew nut (1).

Installation:

Remove battery positive lead (2).

Remove battery positive lead (3) from solenoid switch on starter.
Release hexagon nut (1).

Remove current leads.

Installation:
Release screws (1).
Pull starter (1) a little forwards and tilt out past engine support.
